Arctic Ice on the Rise

Arctic ice should have no effect on sea level. Think of an ice cube melting, the level in the glass does not rise,. On the other hand Antarctic ice is supported by a continent, it doesn’t float like the Arctic. That could cause a problem.

My long understanding is that “loss” of ice reported in the Arctic is usually made up by gains else where,.
