The Twitter string copied below has been taken directly from    the Parents United RI  @ParentsUnitedRI social media page. These revelations raise some very disturbing questions:

  • Are these grant funds from the federal Department of Homeland Security, which helped form a taxpayer-funded left-wing organization in RI … the result of that 2021 letter to the Justice Department, referring to parents as “domestic terrorists”?
  • Is the goal to turn students into spies and antagonists against their own parents and family members?
  • Why is the University of Rhode Island engaged in this “weaponization of government” to silence free speech?
1/ Did you know that a new group has formed in #RhodeIsland, funded by Dept of Homeland Security? We’ve been watching the $700k grant that URI obtained in 2022 to learn more about their plans to combat misinformation in social and local media. What we found was shocking:

2/ We browsed the website Courageous RI, looking for resources #parents could use to help teach their children critical thinking skills. We found the word “parents” in one place, inside the group’s “Manifesto”, under the subheading “How Hate Is Cultivated.” Also….

3/ We further learned from the Courageous RI website that the $700k grant will be used to train K-12 educators to then train students by leveraging the Civics Literacy Act, now law in #RhodeIsland. We look forward to learning more about the curriculum. /FIN
