Turning Point USA and Anthony Watson to Ignite Cranston West Crowd with Talk on American Values

CRANSTON, RI — Club America at Cranston West High School will welcome 2018 Winter Olympian Anthony Watson for a special discussion on American values on Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. in the school auditorium. The event is open to all students, parents, faculty, and citizens in the community. Registration is open here now.

Watson, who made history as Jamaica’s first-ever skeleton athlete, has become an influential voice for young Americans. After facing backlash for his conservative beliefs and losing his Olympic sponsorships, Watson pivoted toward a new mission: encouraging the next generation to think boldly, stand confidently in their convictions, and engage meaningfully in civic life. He now co-hosts Turning Point USA’s popular series Campus Crashers and travels nationwide on TPUSA’s Live Free Tour. His message of perseverance and purpose has earned attention from national outlets such as Newsmax, One America News, and Real America’s Voice.

Club America, the student organization hosting the event, is a fast-growing national movement dedicated to empowering teen leaders. As a high school–based program supported by Turning Point USA, Club America equips students with materials, mentorship, and opportunities to host events that spark dialogue and promote free expression. While Club America maintains its own identity as a student-led network, it benefits from TPUSA’s national infrastructure, media reach, and training programs, helping chapters create meaningful impact on their campuses.

With more than 1,200 high school chapters across the country, Club America encourages students to develop leadership skills, engage with ideas, and build communities grounded in American principles.

The organization says events like Watson’s visit are designed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and civic engagement among young people. Cranston West organizers expect a strong turnout and say they are excited to bring a high-profile speaker to campus to share a message of resilience and patriotism.
