War of Words – A Collection of Conservative Tweets from 2022
Some things never go out of style. History shows passion for freedom flames higher as fire hoses of oppression — whether in the form of censorship, inflation, intrusive “medical” mandates, or something worse — attempt to extinguish it.
In the days of powdered wigs and tri-corner hats, George Washington wrote in a letter:
“Let the reins of government then be braced and held with a steady hand, and every violation of the constitution be reprehended. If defective, let it be amended, but not suffered to be trampled upon whilst it has an existence.” (October 31, 1786)
One hundred eighty-eight years later, in 1974, when hip-hugger bell-bottoms and shiny polyester shirts were in style, Congresswoman Barbara Jordan said in a speech:
“My faith in the Constitution is whole, it is complete, it is total, and I am not going to sit here and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction of the Constitution.”
Forty-eight years later in 2022, when styles range from slouchy to skin tight looks, asymmetrical to classic tailoring, the country is far more divided over freedom than fashion trends,
– and facing the great challenges to freedom, that some thinkers contend will decide the fate of humanity.
From Congress is coming some eloquent statements, and some rough utterances, pertaining to freedom.
The language grows stronger and more to the point – perhaps more American – and not only because of social media’s suffocatingly restrictive space limitations.
Here’s a glimpse of Twitter tweets:
Matt Rosendale @RepRosendale Dec 15
231 years ago today, after ratification by three-fourths of the state legislatures, the Bill of Rights came into effect. These first 10 amendments to our Constitution ensure the protection of our unalienable, God-given rights, and helped to define our nation.

May God bless the brave protesters fighting back against the #CCP thugocracy. #FreeChina

Transferring debt from those who are responsible for it to those who are not isn’t forgiveness, it’s theft.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene @RepMTG Dec 14
Starting next year, we will launch investigations into Covid origins. Gain of function research should have NEVER taken place and should have NEVER been funded with American tax dollars. Fauci lied and people died. Fauci belongs in jail.
Pinned Tweet Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene @RepMTG Apr 23
Today and everyday is 1776. Never give up our freedoms. Never let the left steal them away. Be a watchman on the wall and stay on guard every single second of every single day because the left will stop at nothing until they destroy our faith, our families, and our freedoms.
Rep. Lauren Boebert @RepBoebert Dec 14
The fat cat lobbyists and swampy DC politicians are working overtime to pass this omnibus bill. Why? Because they have $16 BILLION DOLLARS in earmarks riding on it. TOTALLY CORRUPT!
Lauren Boebert @laurenboebert Dec 14
The establishment is negotiating over $16 billion in earmarks for the latest spending bill. Our tax dollars are treated like Monopoly money.
Lauren Boebert @laurenboebert Dec 13
Fauci is the anti-science.
Rep. Jim Jordan @Jim_Jordan Dec 14
#COVID19 disrupted our lives and livelihoods for over two years: kids couldn’t go to school, small businesses and churches were closed, our economy tanked, and our freedoms were restricted. Americans deserve the facts about its origins. And they deserve the facts on Fauci.
Rep. Jim Jordan @Jim_Jordan Dec 14

And let me predict right now how many Capitol Hill reporters will show ANY interest in any of this – or admit they repeated @Twitter’s lies over and over: ZERO

There’s an easy way for @Apple to solve this problem. Make something in America – for a change

“You need to understand what the People’s House is doing to YOU today… Sticking their middle finger up at you would be more honest!”
Congressman Ben Cline @RepBenCline Dec 12
Attaching controversial legislation to a must-pass spending bill without debate or consideration is business as usual for Washington. If we want to best represent the American people whom we were elected to serve, it’s time we end the status quo.
Congressman Ben Cline @RepBenCline Dec 5
The military COVID vaccine mandate has penalized our servicemembers and put America’s readiness at risk. While I’m pleased a federal court provided relief for our airmen, justice is needed for all who chose not to get the jab across all military branches.
Rep Andy Biggs @RepAndyBiggsAZ Dec 12
Rules for thee but not for me. These climate activists are almost always taking private jets!
Rep Andy Biggs @RepAndyBiggsAZ Dec 12
The CDC wants a $22.4 billion budget next year. This is double its normal budget. The CDC does not deserve to be rewarded for its incompetence.
Rep Andy Biggs @RepAndyBiggsAZ Dec 10
The Twitter Files reveal that former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey may have committed perjury. He told Congress under oath that Twitter was not shadow-banning conservatives. Twitter was. He should be investigated by @JudiciaryGOP and @GOPoversight.
Rep Andy Biggs @RepAndyBiggsAZ Dec 9
Congress shouldn’t pass any controversial legislation during the lame-duck period. The American people voted in new representatives and they deserve to be heard in this process.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 15
My “swearing in” will last an hour on January 3rd, 2023 but my “swearing at” here in DC will continue for two years. #sassywithmassie
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 15
Teach your children principles of self reliance and they will always be free.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 13
Reminder to those asking for a meeting in my office: If your organization has a vaccine mandate, your request will be denied. I’m sorry that you work within an organization that’s unscientific and eager to violate the basic human dignities of its employees.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 13
Democrats control both chambers and chose to kick this from September 30th into the lame duck session just before Christmas. Republican Senators could stand firm and refuse to pass an #omnibus that ties our hands for most of next year when we will have the majority.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 13
So many things messed up with OMNIBUS: 1) Should be separate bills! 2) Constitutionally required to originate in the House. 3) Bills were due on Sept 30th. 4) Staff is writing OMNIBUS. A tiny minority of legislators are looped in.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 7
Does this sounds like the United States of America or the Soviet Union? Embed federal law enforcement at media companies, pressure media to suppress information critical of government officials, and have regular meetings between government and media… in the name of safety.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
18 months ago, @tomeblen called my warning that thousands would leave the military and my responsive bill to protect members of the military “performative stupidity.” The vaccine mandate repeal just passed the House in the NDAA. What say you now journo? @SenRandPaul
Quote Tweet Tom Eblen @tomeblen Jul 6, 2021 What we need is a vaccination against performative stupidity, then require Thomas Massie, Rand Paul and a few others to get it. If they want to quit instead, all the better. https://kentucky.com/news/state/ken
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
Can’t leave out Kentucky’s largest newspaper, @courierjournal If it wasn’t possible to leave the military, how did thousands leave?
courier-journal.com Thomas Massie takes to Twitter saying Military members will ‘quit’ if COVID shot mandated Rep. Thomas Massie tweeted Saturday members of the U.S. military have contacted him saying they will ‘quit’ if forced to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
Andi Ortiz, you understood the assignment, but it looks like trying to shame me for taking up for the military didn’t exactly work out for you. Thousands quit, and now the NDAA will end the mandate because my prediction was true.
thewrap.com GOP Rep Thomas Massie Schooled After Claiming Military ‘Will Quit If the COVID Vaccine Is Mandated’ “As a retired Air Force officer, I’m amazed at your lack of understanding of how the military works. Stay in your lane,” one critic responded
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
This guy! lol @KeithOlbermann just blatantly lied in an effort to stir up the digital mob. He was wrong, we were right. https://twitter.com/KeithOlbermann/status/1411858010788487169
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
Another swing and a miss by another (former) member of Congress
@RepRiggleman Denver, you make some decent fake bourbon (real bourbon comes from Kentucky), but you were wrong on this one. Thousands left, that’s why the mandate is being repealed. Which booster are you on now?
Quote Tweet Denver Riggleman @RepRiggleman Jul 4, 2021
They can’t just quit. That’s the whole oath to the constitution, service contracts and all that. Military personnel are mandated to receive many vaccinations. I was jabbed dozens of times. Sick military members affect readiness. Death doesn’t help either. twitter.com/RepThomasMassi…
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
@RawStory ? More like half-baked lies. You were wrong, I was right. Thousands left. Mandate is ending for that reason.
rawstory.com ‘You can’t quit the military’: GOP’s Thomas Massie brutally fact-checked for railing against… Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) tweeted out a link to an article detailing the U.S. Army’s announcement that COVID vaccinations will be mandato
Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Dec 9
The more you speak the truth, the more you’ll be mocked. As I predicted, thousands left the military over the mandate. And now, because they did leave and because we fought the military COVID vax mandate, it will end. If only they had listened to me then.
Whether current in Congress, or a former Congressional Representative, the powerful words keep coming and the heat is increasing. For example:
Tulsi Gabbard @TulsiGabbard Dec 14
Hallmark of living in an autocracy is when questioning the “official” narrative results in being smeared/censored. This has an extremely chilling effect on our democracy & exposes hypocrisy of Washington estab’s supposed mission to “defeat autocracy/spread democracy” around world

Members of the US Senate, too, are increasingly seeming like Americans of three centuries ago, passionate about freedom, such as Dr. Ron Paul’s beloved son:
Rand Paul @RandPaul Dec 12
Stanford University’s @DrJBhattacharya was an important voice throughout the pandemic, challenging the CDC on vaccinating kids and more. A truly free society requires free and robust debate. He should have never been blacklisted in the first place.
Rand Paul @RandPaul Dec 11
Fauci’s resignation should not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He must be required to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the Wuhan lab leak. His policies destroyed lives.
Rand Paul @RandPaul Dec 15
Yesterday I joined #Kudlow on @FoxBusiness
to explain my opposition to the omnibus spending bill. Republicans have completely abdicated the power of the purse!
Last but not least:
John Kennedy @SenJohnKennedy Dec 15
If we don’t keep the pressure up by aggressively auditing companies with ties to the Communist Chinese Party, China will do what China has always done—cheat. Then Americans and their personal savings will pay the price.
