Lack of FISA reform lets federal govt surveil ‘entire communities’ with AI

As Congress plans to reauthorize a major government surveillance authority, privacy advocates say that failing to enact reforms would allow the federal government to spy on Americans at an unprecedented scale with artificial intelligence. FISA Section 702, which lawmakers must reauthorize by March 2027, allows federal intelligence agencies to conduct warrantless electronic surveillance on foreign nationals of suspicion, whether they are abroad or traveling in the U.S.

Trump admin unveils trucking hiring campaign for veterans

The Trump administration has unveiled “Freedom Haulers,” a new hiring campaign meant to accelerate the process for U.S. veterans seeking employment in the trucking industry.

The Freedom Haulers initiative expands the Military Skills Test Waiver Program, allowing U.S. veterans with at least two years of experience driving heavy military vehicles to skip the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) road test – provided their experience falls within the past two years and they have a clean driving record.

Group in Congress pushing for more Epstein transparency

Nearly eight months after the Epstein Files Transparency Act became law, a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is demanding additional federal disclosure of records related to the deceased sex trafficker and his associates. The Epstein Files Transparency Act II would allow state attorneys general, victims of Epstein or his co-conspirators, and members of Congress to sue the Department of Justice for “unlawfully withholding, redacting, delaying, concealing, removing, or failing to publish Epstein-related records.”
