Forcing Business to Stay

Ok, this one quite possibly takes the cake. If anyone doesn’t think that RI has a bad business climate, when you need to pass a law to force a business to stay open, it sure isn’t good. If you hadn’t heard, Cox Communications will lay off up to 234 employees in their West Warwick office.

Then today, David Klepper of the AP tweeted:

Of course it’s just a bill and still needs to be vetted in committee and eventually voted on, but just the thought that this is what you do to keep businesses in RI is just mind-blowing.
