Blithe Acceptance of Tyranny

Without making too big of a deal out of it, something that WPRI reporter Ted Nesi recently tweeted merits a moment of consideration:

I’m talking with more and more people who say they’re getting to feel pretty down as they hear the drumbeat of announcements about cancellations etc for this autumn.

I think it’s starting to really sink in that we still have months of all this to go, and that’s tough mentally.

Note the blithe acceptance that the governor can continue to rule like a dictator indefinitely.

Frankly, if that’s the case, a lot of people are going to be done with the whole charade once they understand that they’re looking at “months” or even years.  Thus far, some of government’s success in wielding its enhanced powers has come in people’s feeling that it’s just a little bit longer.  “Hang in there. We’ve gone from phase 2 to phase 3.  Not much longer now.”

Once that shifts to “we’ll let you know when you’re done,” many people will likely tell themselves internally, “Well, I’m done now.”  And that moment won’t come a moment too soon.

Once again, if there is a legal argument against what the governor has done, the appropriate avenue to challenge it is court. Considering your lack of aversion to filing frivolous and losing challenges against your town (I understand you just filed another) you appear to have some reluctance to do it on the state level.

“People are sheeple” is the guiding principle here; most people are incapable of thinking critically or doing anything other than what everyone else is doing. 98+% of the population are “normie/conformies”

Women are the majority of voters, and they in particular are into ‘group think’ to an amazing level. Virtually every original thinker in history has been a man; Ayn Rand comes to mind as the Exception That Proves the Rule

In Nazi Germany women happily donned swastika armbands and gave straight-arm salutes and turned in Ann Frank to the Gestapo; nowadays they’re the “Karens” & “Beckys” that support BLM and go their rallies without face coverings or social distancing but then torment some bare-faced old guy in Walmart and demand schools stay closed

Sadly this conformist behavior just seems to part of human nature, like war or greed; or like dogs barking from their yards at every passing stranger is part of their nature

And like Adolph or Gina, the worst always do end up on top — as predicted by F.A. Hayek in The Road to Serfdom

BTW, if you want to really understand human nature, put down those psychology books and pick up that book by Hayek. Absorbing what he wrote won’t help solve any of our problems, but at least you’ll understand how we got here

It has long been noted that the “psychology” of a mob is identical to that of a single woman.

Do you need further proof how great America is? Look no further than these two misogynistic dinosaurs who are allowed to proudly fly their flag of ignorance for all to see.

I think you might want to “try the decaf”.
