Revival Behind Bars: Over 140 Women Baptized in Prison Ministry

According the the Christianity Report (christianityreport.net), “God’s transformative power is at work behind prison walls, as the ministry God Behind Bars brings the gospel to inmates across America. Over the past three months, this faith-based outreach has baptized over 140 incarcerated women, offering hope and redemption to those often overlooked by society.

At Colorado’s largest women’s prison, the ministry conducted the first-ever baptisms, with women publicly declaring their faith in Jesus. Inmates, some serving lengthy sentences, found freedom in Christ, weeping and worshiping during revival services that brought healing and renewed purpose.

The non-profit’s mission is bold: to ensure every inmate in the U.S. hears the gospel. Through innovative programs, like satellite prison campuses and the faith-based PandoApp—used by over 415,000 inmates—the ministry provides access to worship, sermons, and spiritual growth resources.

“Jesus is breaking chains and bringing true freedom to the incarcerated,” the ministry shared. Revival is alive behind bars, proving no place is too dark for God’s redemptive light.”
