RI Secretary of State Amore to Address Partisan Org Embroiled in Vote Cheating Scandal

Rhode Island Secretary of State Gregg Amore is scheduled to speak this week at conference held by the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR) in Washington DC.

As reported last month on The Current, Are RI Elections Officials Part of a National Scheme to Unfairly Tip the Scales Towards Democrats?, CEIR has recently been exposed as a partisan group that helps states identify and register likely Democrat voters, in order to tip the scales in favor of left-leaning local and national candidates.

CEIR’s partisan, illicit, and potentially illegal voter registration activities were recently brought to light as part of the national scandal that has seen over half-a-dozen states leave the now controversial ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center after its involvement in the scandal was revealed.

ERIC (of which the state of Rhode Island is still a member) is now known to work closely with CEIR (to whom RI turned over sensitive information about potential voters) in a complex scheme that clearly benefits one political party at the expense of the other.

“It is disturbing and unclear why an ostensibly non-partisan Secretary of State, at least when it comes to election integrity, would speak at a conference run by such an under-handed and partisan organization like CEIR,” said Mike Stenhouse, CEO for the RI Center for Freedom & Prosperity.

National election integrity watchdog groups agree.

“According to the CEIR (founded by David Becker) Summit agenda, Gregg Amore, RI SOS, is on a panel to discuss “Maintaining Accurate and Complete Voter Lists,” said Ned Jones, Deputy Director of the Election Integrity Network. “RI relies on ERIC (founded by David Becker) to provide information to maintain their Voter Lists, in spite of concerns expressed by Rob Rock about ERIC sharing PPI with CEIR, host of the Summit.
Although CEIR claims to be non-partisan, the funding is from Left-wing donors, and the Board of Directors lean Left. In 2020 Zuckerberg/Chan donated $65 Million to CEIR, to distribute directly to SOS’s. RI received $632,189. Out of 23 state grants, four “Swing States” AZ, GA, MI, PA, that Biden won, received $35.7 Million, or 56%. An organization that is this partisan should not be receiving PPI from any source.”
