Robert Frost? Stopping the Swamp and its Many Evils

The following was submitted to The Current by an anonymous writer and is a political adaptation of the famous poem by Robert Frost – Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Stopping the Swamp and its Many Evils

Whose House this is they think they know.

I’m sending them a message though;

They will not see me stopping now

To watch our country fall to Joe.

The media must think it queer

That I’m not paralyzed by fear

Between indictments, raids and lies

The darkest days of my career.

The Swamp is Ugly, Dark, and Deep

But I have promises to keep,

And seeds to sow before I reap,

And miles to go before I sleep.
